Children’s Music
|
The children of SLOUMC are offered many opportunities to learn and perform praise music for the congregation. Several times a year an informal choir is created. The children learn songs during the 10:00 “Enrichment Hour” between services which they then perform during worship on special events. In addition, a children's bell or chime choir, "The Celebration Ringers," forms once or twice a year to practice for several weeks and perform during worship services.
At Christmas, a special Children’s Musical is planned. Children act, sing, dance and play musical instruments during the performance. All children, regardless of age or experience are encouraged to participate in any of the musical experiences at SLOUMC.
