Family Ministries

We welcome families of all types at SLOUMC and strive to provide social activities and opportunities for spiritual growth for both parents and children, including: book studies, outings, Parent’s Night Out, and other gettogethers.

Family FUN (Family Fellowship of UMC Network)

The Family FUN group offers monthly activities for parents and children to come together for

socializing and fellowship. While Family FUN sponsors these events, all ages are welcome.

This year we are focusing on low- and no-cost activities so all may participate. More details will

be provided as we approach each event. Please contact Denine Hicks for further information:

May 31 - 10:00 Combined Service & Potluck The Children’s Choir will perform several

Spirituals in this Gospel-themed service.

June 14 - 2:00 Family Bike Ride, Bob Jones Trail to Avila Beach

July - Pool Day (Date & Time TBA)

July 19-22 - Summer Camp for grades 1-6 at Camp Arroyo Grande

August 16 - 3:00 Beach Bonfire at Port San Luis

August 30 - 10:00 Worship in the Park & Church Picnic, Santa Rosa Park

September - Family camping in Pismo (TBA)

October 25 - 6:00 p.m. “Trunk or Treating”

November - Movie Night

December 6 - 5:00 Family Caroling

December 13 - 8:50 & 11:00 Christmas Musical
