CAROLING AND SOUP SUPPER
Our Caroling and Soup Supper evening will be Sunday, December 7. We will gather in the Wesley Building at 4pm and go caroling at 4:30pm. We will meet back at the Wesley Building at 6:30pm for soup supper and hot chocolate and a movie. If you have not participated in this joyful evening please come and sing along with us as we visit nursing homes and others unable to attend church. There will be a sign up for those wishing to bring soup and dessert for this evening.
CALIFORNIA WILDFIRE'S RESPONSE
More than 10,000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes in
Southern California. A grant from UMCOR will support relief efforts for those affected by the wildfires. Please keep the people of Southern California in your prayers. You can respond through UMCOR Domestic Disaster Response, Advance #901670.
TOYS FOR TOTS
Ho! Ho! Ho! and Semper Fi! Santa Claus and the Marine Corps Reserve are teaming up to deliver toys and books to all the good boys and girls (they are all good boys and girls), but they need your help. Look for the big Toys For Tots box in the entrance area of the church, and leave a toy (suggested $10-$15) or a book, and Santa will make sure it goes to a family that can use the help.
SOCKS NEEDED FOR THE PRADO DAY CENTER
Socks - new and gently used - for men, women and children are being collected in the basket in the Narthex. With the winter season approaching, a comfortable, warm pair of socks can make a big difference for someone in need. COSROW will deliver socks to the Prado Day Center where they will be distributed. It's an easy way to make someone's feet 'happy.'
GIFTS FOR ACHIEVEMENT HOUSE CLIENTS
For the last 7 years I have coordinated the gifts our church provided for the Christmas party in Dec. at the Achievement House attended by about 125 guests. I need your help with providing small gifts or money so I can buy and wrap the gifts. You can leave your donations in the box in the narthex or give them to me on Sunday morning. Please see our web site for more information.
Thanks, Helma Smulders

CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS MUSICAL: ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS
All Lindsay wants for Christmas is...everything she sees! Come see what happens as Lindsay and her toy friends together re-enact the first Christmas through story and song, and learn some valuable lessons along the way. On Sunday, December 14, nearly 30 children from our congregation will present the musical All I Want for Christmas at both the 8:50 and 11:00 services. Be sure to join us that day as the children act, sing and move to tell the wonderful story about the ultimate gift God gave to us.
DINING FOR EIGHT
“Who are those people?? I know I met them several weeks ago and now I can’t remember their names. I really need to be with people for a longer time so their names will stick in my brain.” Does this happen to you? Are you interested in getting to know more people in your church family? Then Dining for Eight is the place for you! These groups of eight multigenerational folks gather four times a year for the pure pleasure of eating and chatting. This can happen at homes, restaurants or wherever the group decides. Sign up on the sheet on the table in the narthex or call Ann Grady or the church office for more information.
