                                          “Pray it Forward” 40 Day Visioning Prayer for

SLOUMC begins September 12

Beginning Sunday, September 12, all SLOUMC’ers are asked to participate in a 40-day vision prayer project for the future of our church and its mission to make and multiply disciples of Jesus Christ.  You will each be asked to select one area of our church’s disciple-making ministry upon which to focus your prayer (Children, Youth, Family, College/Young Adult, Adult, Senior Adult, Worship, or Stewardship), and pray each day in an intentional way for that ministry and God’s vision for its future here at SLOUMC.  More information is forthcoming and sign-ups will begin shortly; in the meantime, please be thinking – and praying – about what area you are feeling called to participate.  If you have questions, contact Pastor Jane or Pam Clark.  



   

Friends of the Outdoors
Hope you have had a great summer doing the things that rebuild your spirits. We are putting out another call to invite anyone interested in CAMPING with our UMC SLO Campers to join us for an October 1-2 campout in the Pfeiffer-Big Sur State Park. Our newly formed family group of campers plans to go somewhere every other month, weather permitting. We're asking anyone who might be interested to contact Helen Slusher or the church office for more details.
